For the love of the land
Inside Out Folk started with a simple question: when the house is being designed, who’s thinking about the land around it? The levels, the access, the outlook, the practical bits, and all the future plans.
That question became even clearer when we tackled our own five-acre build. It wasn’t a picture-perfect blank canvas and our budget wasn’t endless. We had to think carefully, stage the work sensibly and squeeze every bit of value out of the land. People kept asking how on earth we knew what to do with it — and who they could call to do the same on their block.
Inside Out Folk is our answer to that.
‘Inside’ is Brogan. Conceptual, creative and considered. ‘Out’ is Shaun — tough on turf, with more than a decade working on the private property Clarendon Eyre. ‘Folk’ is the way we like to work: human, approachable and always on your side.
Between us, we help homeowners and investors create properties that feel connected inside and out — with practical plans that make sense on day one and evolve as your property does.
Clarendon Eyre: A project that shaped the way we work
Before Inside Out Folk, Shaun spent more than a decade working on Clarendon Eyre — one of regional Victoria’s most recognised private properties. From redesigning golf greens to overseeing large-scale drainage, irrigation and landscape works, the role demanded equal parts strategy, precision and practicality. Every decision had to improve how the property functioned without compromising the experience. It’s where Shaun developed the ability to look at land as a whole system to understand how it should function, flow and feel — and why thoughtful, well-planned spaces are still at the heart of everything we do today.
